Are you thinking about investing in the new Disney Vacation Club (DVC) Tower at the Disneyland Hotel? Trust me, you're not alone! Here's everything you need to know whether you're looking to add on at the Disneyland Tower as a current DVC member, or if you're a total newbie.
Villas at Disneyland Hotel - Save the Dates
DVC members will be able to add on at the Disneyland Villas starting on May 2, 2023. Those who plan to become a new member with an investment at the Disneyland Hotel can do so beginning on May 30, 2023.
What Will it Cost? A lot!
OK, I'm being funny, but also - investing in a Disney Vacation Club contract isn't cheap. And that's especially true with the Villas at Disneyland Hotel. When it goes on sale it will be selling at $230 per point, and the annual are $9.06 per point for 2023. Plus there's the additional nightly transient tax. The love of Mickey Mouse is not an inexpensive hobby. That being said, TAKE MY MONEY DISNEY!
How to Make it Happen

Disneyland Tower Minimum Buy In
If you're adding on the minimum number of points you can acquire at the new Disneyland Tower is 50 points. If you're a new member you'll need to get at least 100 points, but keep in mind that the minimum to qualify for membership extras is 150 points. Not sure what I'm talking about when I say membership extras? Read this.
Resale Restrictions
Another thing to keep in mind about the Villas at Disneyland Hotel is that resale contracts are subject to limitations. Meaning resale points bought at the Disneyland Tower can't be used at any other resorts. Now these may be fighting words, but who'd want to use their precious Disneyland points at one of a dozen Disney World resorts anyway?? Don't come after me in the comments, I promise I love Disney World... Just not as much as Disneyland!
I do mention all of this because it's sort of unknown what the resale market will look like in the future with the Villas at Disneyland Hotel. But if you plan on buying direct, which will be your only option to start with, then it's not really anything you need to worry about at this point.
